StockPock exists to help families keep more of their money. We treat your information the same way: we take as little as we can and we never sell it.

The calculator

Everything you type into the calculator stays in your browser. It is worked out on your own device and is not sent to us or saved anywhere.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and any optional answers you choose to give (rough grocery spend, the stores you use, how you heard about us). We use them only to:

When you join the waitlist, your email address is stored with our email provider, Brevo, which sends our messages for us. We don't sell, rent or share your details with stores, advertisers or anyone else.

Visiting the site

The site doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs to run the site and keep it secure, and we may count visits with a privacy-friendly tool that doesn't use cookies or identify you. The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google sees that your device asked for them.

The StockPock app (private beta)

The app is in a private beta with a small number of invited households. Each household reads a fuller version of this section inside the app, and agrees to it, before creating an account. In short:

What the app keeps. Only what it needs to give your household advice:

The app does not ask for your address, your phone number, your bank or card details, or your location.

Receipts. When you add a receipt, StockPock reads it, saves the items and prices to your account, and does not keep the photo or file. The reading is done by Claude, an AI service made by Anthropic. Anthropic says it deletes what it receives within 30 days and does not use it to train its AI. A receipt often shows the last four digits of a card or a loyalty number; StockPock ignores those lines and does not save them, and you can cover them in the app before the photo is sent.

Receipts you forward by email. Each household gets its own StockPock email address. If you forward a store receipt or order email to it, StockPock reads it and saves the store, the date, the items and the prices to your account. It does not keep the email. Order emails can also show your name, your delivery address and part of a card number; StockPock ignores those and does not save them. Your email service sends the message to StockPock through Cloudflare, and the text is read by Claude, an AI service made by Anthropic, which says it deletes what it receives within 30 days and does not use it to train its AI. Only forward receipts. Please don't set up a rule that forwards your whole inbox.

Prices on your receipts. Prices from photos or files of receipts are saved in two places: in your household's account, which only your household sees, and in a shared list of store prices, like "Costco, toilet paper, 30 rolls, $18.97, Sep 30." This list has no names, emails or households attached. It helps StockPock give better advice to every family. Prices from emailed receipts are used only for your household and are not added to the shared list.

Who can see your information. Your household, the two people who run StockPock, and the services the app runs on: Supabase stores your account, Anthropic reads receipts, and Cloudflare delivers the app to your phone. Each one handles it under its own privacy terms, in order to provide its service. Nobody else.

What StockPock never does. It does not sell or rent your information, show you ads, give stores or advertisers anything that identifies your household, or follow you around other websites or apps.

Your choices

Children

The waitlist and the app are for adults running a household. They are not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this note changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell waitlist members and households in the beta by email.
